Notes From The Board

BOARD MEETING NOTES AND UPDATE – MEETING (6/7/10)

1. The club has paid off its $20,000 line of credit with First Federal Bank and is looking for a new source for this loan
2. IMG requested the removal of our fence supports along courts 5, 10, & 15. Nick had these removed as construction on the Pendleton School begins.
3. Hugo Armando is still on board to open his academy in August and Tony Driscoll has pledged to keep a “presence” at the club for his Hurricane Academy. These will be very helpful revenue producers.
4. Landscaping project is moving ahead with supervision from Greg Mutzer and Gene Noble.
5. Tony Cacic has agreed to paint the exterior of the clubhouse this summer in exchange for membership considerations.
6. Donna Morrison proposed having a group of women assist in “spiffing up” the bar area.
7. A “Medical Leave” policy was passed unanimously by the Board.
8. The Board tentatively approved the hiring of Bill Glindmyer as the club’s new Head Pro / Tennis Director. Nick will complete an interview process, perform reference checks, and then set a starting date (7/1) if everything looks good.
9. Ciara Finucane has been informed that her services as head pro are no longer necessary. She was thanked for her efforts.
10. The current “Under 50” membership ($55 / $75) was terminated. Members under this program will be able to remain for one year from the start or may convert to a new “Under 50” plan. The new membership plan provides for membership at 75% of the dues rate for full members. The Board unanimously approved the new program. Nick will create a “Dues Schedule.”
11. The Board will not meet in July unless a major issue arises. The next scheduled meeting will be in early August.
