Notes From The Board

BOARD MEETING NOTES AND UPDATE (7/14) MEETING

Topics discussed and decisions made included the following:

1. Financial reports were discussed showing a drop off of almost 20% in sales for June compared to 2007.
2. The “Quick Start” membership program will run out at the end of September just like the “summer membership.”
3. The permitting process for replacing the deck is moving along thanks to the efforts of Brad Spotts.
4. The “deck project” was discussed at length including an alternative plan to tearing down the existing deck and replacing it board by board. The alternative plan would consist of “capping” the existing deck with five and a quarter decking board. The Board will have contractors look into the feasibility of this plan. This would be a much more cost effective project. Funding the project is still of primary concern and will be discussed next month.
5. Fred Hinesley discussed the progress on the formation of his “action committees.” He will meet with them prior to the next Board meeting in the hopes that he will have input for the Board. Suggestions are already coming in.
6. The next Board meeting is scheduled for August 4.
