Notes From The Board

FROM THE BOARD:

BOARD MEETING NOTES AND UPDATE – MEETING DATE ( 2/15/10)

1. Nick informed the Board that our dining room A/C will need a new compressor. The cost is about $1,900. Debbie Flint will have Tom look for a better price.
2. Tony Cacic and a sub contractor will begin work on repairing the kitchen floor. Tony will be paying for the work in exchange for membership.
3. A “push bar” is needed on the club’s rear door going out to our deck. We have tried a few contractors with little luck. Donna Morrison will check with Jeff Smith.
4. Annual Meeting notices were distributed and reviewed by the Board for approval prior to sending them out on 2/18.
5. Financially the club is about $3,500 ahead of this time last year (cash position). Team Tennis looks to come up about $1,500 short of 2009.
6. A discussion was held debating the idea of new fountains for the courts versus water “jugs.” This will be discussed at the next meeting.
7. Jim Wilson has his menu set for the Anonymous Party in March and he has contracted for the entertainment (Jay Crawford).
8. Court 4 needs some clay replaced on the south end.
9. Team Tennis was a great success with 90 players. We need to look into a new venue for next year’s Sponsor Dinner.
10. Team Tennis t-shirts will reflect the initials of both husbands and wives next year.
11. The Yard Sale is ready to go. Will and Butch Hill offered the use of their trucks.
12. Next meeting is March 22 at 3:00 PM.
